Sen. Lacson Drafts Resolution Showing Support for Senate Pres. Sotto
LACSON – Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson drafted a resolution to determine the supports of Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III as Senate President.
Following the midterm Election 2019 which was held last May 13, the Senate is set to have new members that will replace some of the outgoing lawmakers.
Currently, there are talks regarding the positions in the Senate including the chairmanships.
Also, based on a report on GMA News, there are reported insinuations of a change in leadership by Senators-elect Francis Tolentino and Imee Marcos. The two(2) are among the newbies in the Senate.
Amid the talks regarding the Senate leadership, Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson drafted a resolution showing his support to Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III as Senate President.
The resolution is also set to determine on who really supports the leadership of Sen. Sotto in the Senate. According to the Senator, the idea came from Sen. Manny Pacquiao.
“The resolution to be routed is about a vote of confidence in the leadership of SP Sotto…
Hindi para siguraduhin kundi para magkaalaman na this early kung totoo sinasabi naming lahat na suportado namin ang liderato niya,” the Senator said.
Based on the report, previously, Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri expressed that at least twelve(12) senators support the leadership of Sen. Tito Sotto in the Senate.
