Sen. Cynthia Villar Consistently Tops Partial Election 2019 Senatorial Race Result

CYNTHIA VILLAR – Senator Cynthia Villar broke her silence amid topping the partial result of the Election 2019 senatorial race.

Undeniably, one of the loudest names in the Philippine politics now is that of Cynthia Villar, the wife of businessman and former politician Manny Villar.

In the partial and unofficial results of the Election 2019 senatorial race, the lady senator’s name is topping the list. In fact, she has been consistent on the first rank since the very first partial and unofficial result was out.

Recently, Villar broke her silence on her performance in both the unofficial and official results of the Election 2019.

Based on a recent report in GMA News, amid her name topping both the official and unofficial results of the Election 2019 senatorial race, Sen. Cynthia Villar expressed that possibly it shows that the people like her work.

“I guess nagustuhan nila ‘yung aking trabaho sa Senado. Nagustuhan nila ‘yung aking advocacy,” she said.

Villar is an advocate of providing employment for the people and as well as helping farmers, fishermen, and the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). She is also the author of the Rice Tarification Law which created the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund.

“Ako sumulat noon kaya ang gagawin ko ay i-o-oversight ko po sa next Congress na ma-implement ‘yon [Rice Tariffication Law] very well,” the Senator expressed.

According to her, she is not surprised that she ranks number one in the results but she is happy that the surveys were correct. She ranked first in three(3) previous surveys conducted.

Based on the report, when asked on the possibility of running for presidency in the future, here is what Sen. Cynthia Villar said:

“I really believe that the presidency is destiny… Hindi ko muna iniisip ‘yon. Hindi mo naman ginagawa ‘yon. Binibigay sa ‘yo yon.”
