VP Leni Robredo Confident In Victory of Otso Diretso in Election 2019
OTSO DIRETSO – Vice President Leni Robredo is confident that the members of the Otso Diretso will win in Election 2019.
The Election 2019 is fast-approaching. Currently, we are only nine(9) days away from the upcoming political bid and the people are surely contemplating on who to give their votes to.
With regards to the senatorial election, there is undeniably a tight race between the members of the Otso Diretso, the PDP-Laban, and the Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
Otso is a slate composed by the opposition while the PDP-Laban is the party of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has formed the Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
Among the giant supporters of Otso Diretso is Vice President Leni Robredo. She supports the following senators for the upcoming bid:
- Former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas
- Former House Deputy Speaker Erin Tañada
- Election Lawyer Romulo Macalintal
- Marawi Civic Leader Samira Gutoc
- Sen. Bam Aquino
- Former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay
Based on a report on Inquirer, Vice President Leni Robredo is confident that Otso Diretso will win the Election 2019. According to her, it is now the people who are speaking for their party.
“I fully believe that we have a big chance of winning because it’s now the people who speak for us,” the VP said in Filipino according to the report.
Also, the Vice President added that the members of the slate are the kind of people whom the Filipinos could really be proud of. She described them as “competent”, “good”, and people who have “strong principles in life”.
Aside from Vice President Robredo, another staunch supporter of the slate is Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan who is also the campaign manager of the party.
When it comes to the public, undeniably, the party also has a lot of supporters. Among them are the Filipinos particularly the fishermen who raised flag to oppose the presence of the Chinese vessel near Batangas.
