Guide on How To Apply For CHED Scholarship 2019 & the Requirements You Must Prepare
CHED SCHOLARSHIP 2019 – Here is a guide on how to apply for the student financial assistance provided by the Commission on Higher Education and the application requirements.
Undeniably, despite poverty, there are a lot of ways on how a determined person can finish his or her studies. There are a lot of agencies and government institutions offering scholarships and financial aid to students.
One of these government institutions that offer financial aid is the Commission on Higher Education. More commonly called as CHED, it provides CHED Student Financial Assistance or StuFAPs.
Under the said financial assistance, the monetary benefits would depend on the academic plan.
Currently, the application for the CHED Scholarship 2019 is actually ongoing. The last day of the receiving of application is on April 30, 2019.
Based on the official website of the Commission on Higher Education, here are the lists of the eligibility qualifications and documentary requirements that aspiring applicants should submit:
Eligibility Qualification
Applicant must:
- be a Filipino citizen
- be either of the following:
- candidate for graduation
- high school graduate
- with earned units in the tertiary education
- Alternative Learning System (ALS) passer
- Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) passer
- have a parents/guardians’ combined annual gross income that are not more than Php 300,000.00
- not be a graduate of any degree / course
Documentary Requirements
For 4th Year High School Applicants
- 3rd Year Grade
- Grade for the first three(3) grading periods of fourth year
For High School Graduates
- Form 138
For Applicants with Earned Units in Tertiary Level
- Certificate of Grades
For ALS Passers
- Accreditation and Equivalency Test Passer Certificate
For PEPT Passers
- Certificate of Advancing to the Next Level
Other Documentary Requirements:
- Parents/Guardian’s Latest Income Tax Return (ITR)
- Parents/Guardian’s Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
- Barangay Certificate of Indigency
- Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Case Study or Affidavit of No Income
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Duly-Accomplished StuFAPs Application Form
According to CHED, for the children of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), the proof of income or copy of the parents’ latest contract is needed.

Just wanna ask…can we still apply for CHED scholarship if he is already enrolled for we cannot bear the high tuition fees and the daily expenses everyday, fare & baon, please we need to know….
