Procedure & Requirements in LTO Motor Vehicle Registration
LTO MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION – Here are the procedure and the list of requirements in applying for motor vehicle registration to the Land Transportation Office.
One of the basic requirements in driving is a driver’s license or permit. It can be obtained from the Land Transportation Office or more commonly called LTO.
The said government agency issues the LTO Driver’s License and LTO Student Permit to successful applicants who went through written and practical examinations.
Aside from the permit to drive, another basic requirement that drivers and owners should process is the registration of the vehicle. The LTO motor vehicle registration may only take a short procedure and need a few requirements.

Based on the official website of the Land Transportation Office, here are the lists of the the LTO motor vehicle registration procedure and requirements. This is for brand new motor vehicles that are locally assembled or manufactured.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Original Sales Invoice
- Appropriate Insurance Certificate of Cover
- Original Certificate of Stock Reported (CSR)
- Original PNP-HPG MV Clearance Certificate
PROCEDURE:
- Prepare the requirements and head to the nearest LTO office to you. Submit it to the evaluator for evaluation. The fees will then be computed.
- Go to the cashier and wait for your name to be called. Pay for the fees and get your copy of the Official Receipt (OR).
- Go to the LTO Releasing Counter and wait for your name to be called. You will be given your Certificate of Registration (CR), RFID/stickers, and plates.
After having your motor vehicle registered to the Land Transportation Office, check on the validity of the registration as you will have to renew it once in a while.
