Comedian Chokoleit dies at the age of 46 and her fellow celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry write heartfelt messages.
Born as Jonathan Garcia, the comedian brought out loud laughter from his audience in comedy bars.
Eventually, the stand up comedian was able to pave his way into the world of television. He was given a chance to play the role of Pearly Shells in the Kapamilya hit series Marina back in 2004.
His death caused immense grief to his fellow celebrities.
According to PEP’s report, Star Cinema confirmed the sad news about Chokoleit’s death in a statement released March 10.
The comedian had a difficulty in breathing after he had his performance in an out of town show in Abra.
Here’s the statement from the talent arm of the Kapamilya network:
“Details are still being gathered. Chokoleit was performing in an out of town show in Abra, and experienced difficulty in breathing after his performance.”
Due to this, several netizens wrote heartfelt messaged for the late comedian.
His friend and fellow comedian Vice Ganda wrote, “Thank you Lord for giving me a chance to meet Chokoleit and become his friend. Im sad that we lost him. But happy that he’ll be in a much peaceful and happier place now with you. Thanks for everything Chokie. I love you!!! Rest well my friend.”
A few moments later after that tweet, the GGV host said this to his following post: “oh my Lord this is really sad. Pls give us strength.”
