Senator Lacson Urges Palace to File Criminal Charges Against PCSO General Manager
LACSON – Senator Panfilo Lacson urges the Palace to file criminal charges against PCSO chief Alexander Balutan.
In a report, Philippine President Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte fired the general manager of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Alexander Balutan.
Palace spokesperson Salvador Panelo disclosed that the chief executive just terminated the PCSO chief because of alleged corruption.
“The Palace confirms that President Duterte has terminated the services of PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan on his present post due to serious allegations of corruption,” said Panelo.

Based on a report from Manila Bulletin, Senator Panfilo Lacson expressed his reaction toward the alleged corruption of the PCSO chief.
The senator stated that the government should file charges against Alexander Balutan for his involvement in alleged corruption.
“Since Malacañang has already cited and announced the reason for his sacking, it is incumbent upon them to file the necessary criminal charges for violation of the country’s anti-graft laws,” said Lacson.
According to the report, Panfilo Lacson stated that he was convinced by the decision of President Duterte on firing PCSO’s general manager.
