Prime Video has officially announced that the highly anticipated Filipino romance-suspense series, Love Is Never Gone, featuring Kapamilya stars Ivana Alawi and Joshua Garcia, will premiere exclusively on May 8.

Along with the date, the streaming platform also unveiled the official poster for the series, which is a collaboration between ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment.

The story follows two “lost souls” who find solace in each other, only to be tested by deep-seated lies and betrayal, and the stunning Morocco, where it was filmed, added color and beauty to it.

Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the plot centers on Teo (Joshua Garcia), a hardworking son who is striving to provide for his family, and Yana (Ivana Alawi), a clever thief known as “Chameleon.”

Even though Teo initially falls victim to Yana’s schemes, he eventually discovers that her crimes are driven by a desperate need to fund her mother’s medical care.

With their shared tragedy, Teo and Yana’s love was so intense that devastating betrayal would weaken it. Due to Yana’s criminal ties, Teo was wrongfully imprisoned. Then, he is left to rot in prison. Teo’s anger was fueled by his belief that Yana, the woman he loved, was the person behind his sufferings.

Years passed, and Teo was pardoned. He returns to the Philippines to reclaim his life, but unexpectedly, he is haunted by a ghost: Gem, the wife of the powerful Ace Verona, who shares Yana’s unmistakable face.

As Teo tries to infiltrate Gem/Yana’s world for revenge, he uncovers a web of corruption and the sacrifice that the woman he loved made to give him his freedom.

Also included in the series are Jameson Blake, Jane Oineza, Michael de Mesa, Epy Quizon, Dina Bonnevie, and former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra.
