Ang Probinsyano: Arnell Ignacio’s Thoughts If Ever To Receive Another Offer From Program

Will Arnell Ignacio appear in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano?

ANG PROBINSYANO – The former OWWA deputy administrator shares his thoughts about joining FPJAP as his television comeback after resigning.

One of the celebrities from the cluster of those who turned into a politician is the comedian and host Arnell Ignacio. He was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as the Deputy Executive Director of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

However, just last February, the Malacañang has officially confirmed his resignation as per previous article due to personal reasons that involves his family. Accordingly, his father has prostate cancer and his compensation from his post can not suffice the medical needs of his father and it was lesser than what he was when he was still in the entertainment industry.

In a report from PEP, he shared that got an offer from the said program but declined due to conflicting schedules as OWWA deputy director and as an actor.

He said, “Kasi naman, di ba? Tatawag ang Probinsyano, dapat mag-taping ka na bukas, e, palipad ako nun para sa problema ng OFW. Di ako, tinanggihan ko, samantalang ang iba, nagkakandarapa na mag-guest dun. Ako, tanggi ako nang tanggi sa guesting. Sa hosting, ang laki na ng pinakawalan ko. Di ba, parang nasira na ang showbiz career ko niyan? Hindi naman puwede yun.”

And now, if given the chance to receive another offer, he assured the action-filled program FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano that this time he will accept it.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement about Ignacio’s resignation which was effective since March 1, “He has intimated his desire to pursue other endeavors. We wish him luck to a new path he will traverse. While the President has yet to formally accept Mr Ignacio’s resignation, we recognize as well as thank him for his contributions to the Filipino people.”
