OWWA Deputy Administrator Arnell Ignacio Resigns from his Post
Arnell Ignacio is confirmed to have resigned as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) deputy administrator.
One of the celebrities and actors who became part of the government is Arnell Ignacio.
His recent appointment was with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) that takes care of the OFWs in the different countries outside the Philippines.
Prior to it, he was the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation Assistance Vice President for Community Relations and Services.
It was in 2018 when President Rodrigo Roa Duterte appointed Ignacio to be the OWWA deputy administrator. Recently, a news report regarding the government official crossed the surface.
Based on a report on GMA News Online, speaking to Unang Balita, OWWA confirmed that Arnell Ignacio has resigned from his post as the deputy administrator of the government agency.
According to OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, Ignacio left his post as the OWWA deputy administrator due to personal reasons.
Currently, according to the report, his resignation has yet to be accepted by Pres. Duterte.
Based on another report, previously, Ignacio has also confirmed that he left his post but he did not reveal the reason. Meanwhile, he stressed that OWWA is dear to him and he will still be finishing some matters.
According to the former OWWA deputy administrator, a press conference will just be held soon.
