Former Ang Probinsyano actor Kristofer King dies

Former cast member of Kapamilya TV series Ang Probinsyano and Indie film star Kristofer King dies on Saturday night, February 23, 2019.

Kristofer is known to be diabetic and due to this he suffered from health complications.

According to a report from Philippine Entertainment Portal, on Saturday morning, the actor was rushed to the hospital after his heart suddenly stopped beating. His family appealed to Ang Probinsyano lead actor Coco Martin for financial help on the afternoon of the same day.

Unfortunately, Kristofer finally bid goodbye to his loved ones, yesterday night at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Adventist Medical Center Manila.

At the time of writing, the cause of death is not yet clear.

Kristofer’s fellow indie film personalities expressed their grief. Prominent indie film directors Brillante Mendoza and Adolf Alix, Jr. wrote their messages for the former Ang Probinsyano actor.

“You will always be my best actor. I will miss u King,” Direk Brillante wrote.

They worked together in films Masahista (2005), Slingshot (2007), Serbis (2008), Captive (2012), and Alpha: The Right To Kill (2018).

Direk Alfie wrote this on Facebook, “Rest in peace Kristofer King.” They worked together in Imoral (2008) at Ante (2009).

Meanwhile, Kiko Matos, wrote this for his fellow actor in indie films: “My fellow actor, kapatid sa indie, rest in peace homie Kristofer King. Hindi ko makakalimutan mga panahong nagkasama’t nagkatrabaho tayo.”

Kristofer King’s last TV shows were Ang Probinsyano (ABS-CBN), The Stepdaughters (GMA-7), and Inday Will Always Love You (GMA-7).

He won Best Actor at Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival for the movie Oros.

Based on the report, his most notable performances were in Ang Babae Sa Breakwater (2003), Foster Child (2007), and Tirador (2007).
