‘Fantastica’ is not Vice Ganda’s highest grossing film – Writer-activist
Writer-activist Ogie Rosa disproved the claim of ABS-CBN that Fantastica is the “highest grossing Vice Ganda” film.
The said movie was one of the entries in Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2018.
MMFF declared that indeed the movie of Vice Ganda with Dingdong Dantes and Richard Gutierrez is the top earner.

Ogie Rosa disproved this through a previous post from the ABS-CBN News’ Twitter account.
The said post was dated January 11, 2017, which stated Super Parental Guardians movie of Vice with Coco Martin earned a higher P598 million.
Several netizens commented on this post of the writer-activist. There are those who agreed to him while fans of Vice Ganda fired back.
Twitter user @abbelated18 stated that the most common comment she shared about Vice’s latest movie was “walang kakwenta-kwentang pelikula!”
Another netizen with the user name @susansyng said that it was a “fake news” from the ABS-CBN.
Furthermore, Twitter user @Judge_POng commented that the network is just trying to do a narrative that Vice makes quality movies but for him, all are “trashy”.
On the other hand, there were several netizens who defended Vice Ganda and his movie Fantastica.
Twitter user @satotoolang8 said that those detractors could not just accept that even though they campaigned for “boycott Fantastica”, it still earned a lot.
Moreover, Twitter user @Marcus55681036 commented that critics are just jealous of Vice Ganda’s blockbuster earning.
