Film director reveals something about plans of having Fantastica 2.
FANTASTICA 2 – The director of the MMFF 2018 film ‘Fantastica’ Barry Gonzalez reveals something about plans of making a part 2.
The “Fantastica” served as an official entry in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival. It features stars coming from rival networks such as Vice Ganda, Dingdong Dantes, Richard Gutierrez, Bela Padilla, Jaclyn Jose, Maymay Entrata and Edward Barbers, Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte, and Kisses Delavin and Donnie Pangilinan.
Accordingly, the film earned Php100-million as per the intriguing post of the Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda where he said, “100Million na palakhak, pagmamahal at pasasalamat po Madlang People sa buong Pilipinas!!! FANTASTIC tayo ngayong Pasko!!!”
Now, as of January 3, here is the ranking of films of MMFF 2018 according to box office gross:
- Fantastica: The Princess and The Perya – P400 million
- Jack Em Popoy – P200 million +
- Aurora – P100 million (almost)
- Mary, Marry Me – (not specified)
Meanwhile, Rainbow’s Sunset is the most awarded film during the “Gabi Ng Parangal 2018”.
And with the success of the film, the director of the film Barry Gonzalez has revealed his plans of making a second part for the film.
In a report from ABS-CBN, the director has expressed, “Siyempre, masayang-masaya po kami na ganun ang resulta kaya thankful po kami. Kaya sana, panoorin pa rin po natin ang ‘Fantastica.”
Due to the success of the film “Fantastica”, it is not impossible for it to have a part 2. Gonzalez expressed, “Hanggang ngayon po ay pinag-iisipan. Sana nga po meron pa. So may plano naman po ang Star Cinema para roon.”
