LTO Officer Allegedly Harassing Traffic Violator Caught on Camera
A certain LTO officer earns massive criticism from the online community after allegedly harassing and abusing a traffic violator.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is a government agency tasked to implement traffic rules and regulations in the country.
The agency is also responsible for all the land transportation in the Philippines since they are under the Department of Transportation.
LTO is also authorized to issue violation tickets, confiscate the driver’s license or impound the vehicles of the traffic offenders.
However, the transportation officers should also impose the law with love and respect for others.
Recently, the Facebook page “Philippine trends and news” has shared the video footage of a LTO officer who allegedly abused a traffic violator.
In the video, it can be seen that the officers nabbed a vehicle driver who committed a traffic violation.
The officers allegedly punched the violator on the face but the disappointed netizens expressed their fury since law enforcers are not allowed to hurt others.
The video has a caption of:
“GANITO DAW B ANG TAMANG PAGHULI? Pwede nmang manghuli sa tamang paraan kuya LTO hindi ung dhil galit ka susuntukin mo hinuhuli mong driver.. kht ano pa Violation nya wla kang karapatang para itaas mo ang authority mo.. Nakakadismaya db?”
