Parents of Filipino Couple Drowned In Maldives Meet With DFA Sec. Locsin

FILIPINO COUPLE DROWNED IN MALDIVES – The parents of the Filipino honeymooners who drowned in Maldives arrived at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Recently, lots of people were saddened by what happened to two Filipinos while they were in Maldives. They were identified as Leomer and Erika Joyce Lagradilla, a couple.

The Filipino couple were in Maldives for their honeymoon. They officially tied the knot on December 18, 2018 and early January 2019, they flew to Maldives.

An unexpected thing happen while the Lagradilla couple were in Maldives. The Filipino couple drowned and passed away.

A huge amount of money, more than Php 1 million, is needed to bring home the remains of the Filipino couple drowned in Maldives. Their bestfriends organized a fundraising campaign.

Recently, the said fundraising campaign was stopped following the positive meeting of the family with the DFA.

It has yet to be fully confirmed if the DFA would push throught shouldering all the expenses in bringing the bodies of the Lagradilla couple home. The father of Leomer was set to meet with the official of the department.

Based on a recent report on GMA News, the parents of the Filipino couple drowned in Maldives have arrived at the DFA. They are set to meet Secretary Locsin.
