OFW Lady Arrested for Recording Vice Ganda’s Fantastica Movie Inside the Cinema
LADY ARRESTED – An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) lady was arrested for recording Fantastica movie inside the cinema.
Along with the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, it is also the time for the Metro Manila Film Festival to exhibit their wonderful movies in the big screens.
The MMFF is celebrated annually where famous actors and actresses show their brilliant acting performances and will be awarded as best actors and best movie etc.
There are eight official movie entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival. These movies are Aurora, Jack Em Popoy, One Great Love, Mary, Marry Me, Otlum, Rainbow Sunset, The Girl in the Orange Dress, and Fantastica.
Following a previous article, the MMFF committee has already announced the winners. One Great Love actor Dennis Trillo won as Best Actor while the Best Actress was won by Gloria Romero from Rainbow Sunset.
Now that the movies are already released in all cinemas nationwide, some people take advantage of recording the films on their device to sell it on the market which is illegal.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, a 25-year-old woman was recently arrested at a mall in Ermita, Manila last December 26.
She was caught by a security guard named Rodel Cabuhat that was roaming around the cinema. Cabuhat said she saw the lady lying very low while watching the movie Fantastica.
According to the report, Rodel Cabuhat noticed something wrong about the lady’s position and light on her hands. He walked over to the lady and saw that she was recording the movie.
Cabuhat confronted the lady and immediately brought her to the police station. They discovered that the lady is an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).
Based on the report, the police stated that the lady has already recorded Vice Ganda’s movie for an hour before she was caught.
Everyone is prohibited to record a movie while inside the Movie Theater.
The lady violated the Anti-Camcording Act of 2010.
