It can be recalled that Jaime VandenBerg from Canada and Abbey-Anne Gyles-Brown of England took to social media their complaints against the alleged harassment they got from one of the pageant sponsors.

Miss Guam was the one who revealed the name of the said sponsor – Amado S. Cruz.

Following this issue, Lorraine Schuck said they are not tolerating this kind of incident in the pageant.

However, she pointed out that the candidates complaining did not tell them immediately.

Based on the article published in The Philippine Star, Schuck said that Miss Canada and Miss England belittled the Miss Earth organization.

The pageant organizer said that on October 14, “Miss Canada and Miss England reported to their team managers that they felt sexually harassed by one of the function’s sponsor.”

Lorraine Schuck talked to them and assured that they will address the issue. Furthermore, she also instructed the staff of Carousel Productions to ban the said sponsor from all Miss Earth functions and events.

Aside from this, Schuck also said that she wanted to find out if there were other delegates who can support the harassment complaint from Miss Canada and Miss England.

“We could use the statements to help the two in case they decided to file a case against the alleged harasser,” she said.

On the other hand, what she expected did not happen.

“Unfortunately, instead of working together with us on this matter they opted to go to social media and discredit and disparage the organization,” Lorraine Schuck pointed out.

She also disproved the claim of Miss Canada that they confiscated the delegates’ passports, based on the article.
