Guest of Negros Occidental Resort Visibly Disappointed Over Alleged Experience

RESORT – A guest of a newly-opened resort in Negros Occidental took to the social media her alleged experience.

There are lots of beautiful havens in Negros Occidental. In fact, some of them belong to the “Top 20 Best Resorts” list of the travel website Tripvisor.ph. New structures keep on emerging in Negros.

Recently, the social media was taken by storm by posts about the newly-opened place in Silay City – the Ilaya Highland Resort. Undeniably, many were captivated by the photos showing the spectacular views at the haven.

Lots of people expressed their hope to visit it soon and experience taking dips in a pool overlooking the beautiful views of the mountains. However, many changed their minds after a post about a guest’s alleged experience went viral.

Netizen “Lizette Dato” took to her Facebook account a lengthy post about her alleged experience at the Ilaya Highland resort.

Based on her social media post, the netizen made reservations in advance. She stated that she paid PHP 2,000 in advance for the entrance and the rental of two canopies. She stressed that each can accommodate strictly 8 people.

According to Lizette, when she was making the reservation over the phone, she informed the staff ahead of the drinks they will bring.

“[I] asked about corkage but was informed that THEY DO NOT ALLOW outside food or drinks but since their bar is not open yet… they will consider.”

Based on the post, when the netizen and her group came to the resort, the drinks they brought were initially not allowed. Furthermore, the chips that they have were also allegedly not allowed to be opened.

Aside from it and the amount of lunch at the place which is allegedly P200 per head, Lizette also revealed the alleged treatment of the staff.

“One of the management team… told me that next time I needed to be specific about how many guests are going because ‘our kitchen got stressed”

Based on the post, the guest was also allegedly asked to pay P30 for the gravy of the chicken they ordered. It’s allegedly worth almost PHP 500.

“No, not coming back. The place may be nice but the stress we went through is just not worth it.”
