Low-Pressure Area Inside PAR Intensifies To Tropical Depression Karding, PAGASA Says
The low-pressure area spotted inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has intensified to Tropical Depression Karding.
On Tuesday (August 07, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather update in the country.
PAGASA reported that the LPA located at east of Aparri, Cagayan has already developed into a tropical depression.
The weather agency named the tropical depression as Karding after breaking into the country’s area of responsibility.
The state weather bureau has also spotted another LPA at the west of Subic, Zambales.
Karding and the new low-pressure area enhances the southwest monsoon bringing moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Northern Luzon and the western section of Central Luzon.
The effects of Bagyong Karding would be felt in the affected areas starting Friday (August 10, 2018).
As of now, PAGASA did not raise a tropical cyclone warning signal in any parts of the country since it was not expected to make a landfall.
