Weather Bureau PAGASA Monitors New Tropical Cyclone To Prevail This Week
The state weather bureau PAGASA was monitoring the development of a new tropical cyclone, which is expected to prevail throughout the week.
On Wednesday (August 01, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather update in the country.
PAGASA reported that the agency is monitoring the possible development of a tropical cyclone until Friday (August 03, 2018).
The southwest monsoon would still bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across the western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
The weather agency that rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The residents living in low-lying and mountainous areas are advised to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.
In the month of August, about two or three tropical cyclones are expected to affect the country’s weather condition.
The southwest monsoon or Habagat reaches its peak between the month of July and September.
By September 2018, rainfall will be almost normal throughout the Philippines.
