Vic Sotto Speaks on Maine Mendoza Doing Different Project Without Alden Richards
VIC SOTTO – Eat Bulaga! host Vic Sotto reacted to young Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza doing a different project without her loveteam partner Alden Richards.
Based on a report, Vic Sotto has previously confirmed that Maine Mendoza accepted the role offer for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2018 film Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles. They will top-bill the film together with Kapamilya actor Coco Martin.
It is the first time of Vic and Coco to work together in one MMFF movie. The two big celebrities who are coming from different networks were also part of the MMFF 2017.
Vic Sotto top-billed the MMFF 2017 family comedy movie Meant To Beh with Kapamilya actress Dawn Zulueta. Other casts of the film include JC Santos, Sue Ramirez, Andrea Torres, Gabbi Garcia, and Baby Baste. Maine Mendoza and her loveteam partner Alden Richards also have a special participating in the film.
In the MMFF 2017, Coco Martin directed and top-billed the remake of Ang Panday. Its casts include beauty queen Mariel de Leon who is one of his leading ladies in the film. She is the daughter of celebrity couple Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong.
Speaking to Pep at an exclusive interview after the story conference for Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles, Vic Sotto spoke on the character of Maine Mendoza and the young actress doing a different project without Alden Richards.
According to the Kapuso actor, it is Maine’s first time to do a role like the one in their upcoming MMFF movie so it is really new for her fans. She will play the role of the daughter of the character of Vic.
Based on the report, when asked about Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards doing different projects, Vic Sotto expressed that the friendship of the two celebrities will always be there and their loveteam is forever.
“Okay lang naman kung may kanya-kanya silang projects every once in a while… You have to expand young trabaho mo. Hindi ka limitado sa isang daan lang,” he said.
When asked if he thinks Maine Mendoza will leave showbiz, Vic Sotto expressed that he does not think so as she loves the field and the industry loves her.
