CAGAYAN COUNCILOR – Rizal, Cagayan Councilor Alfredo Alvarez was shot by an unidentified person in Tuguegarao City.

Recently, several public servants passed away due to unexpected incidents that left their families, friends, and constituents craving for justice over their deaths.

Based on a report, among those politicians who passed away were Tanauan City, Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili; General Tinio, Nueva Ecija Mayor Ferdinand Bote; Trece Martires, Cavite Vice Mayor Alex Lubigan; Tawi-Tawi town Vice Mayor Al-Rashid Mohammad Ali; and Jasaan, Misamis Oriental Chairman Alfredo Zapanta.

Investigations regarding the unexpected incidents that took their lives are still on-going. Their loved ones are in the pursuit of attaining justice over what happened to them.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, another public servant lost his life after he was shot by an unidentified person while he was driving in his town.

The initial investigation shows that Rizal, Cagayan Councilor Alfredo Alvarez was shot by an unidentified person while he was driving his car along a street in Barangay San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City.

According to the police, Councilor Alvarez was on his way to his home in Tuguegarao when the incident happened.

Based on the report, the unexpected incident right away took the life the 64-year-old councilor of Rizal, Cagayan. The person responsible for the said incident has yet to be identified.

The authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to find out the motive behind the move and the person who did it. A special task group has already been formed to focus on the case of the Cagayan Councilor.
