Sondos Alqattan uses religion card?
SONDOS ALQATTAN – Kuwaiti social media celebrity Sondos Alqattan reportedly refuses to apologize following her statements on the rights of the overseas Filipino workers (OFW).
The remarks of Sondos Alqattan on the rights of the OFWs in Kuwait has earned the social media personality criticisms not only from Pinoys but as well as from other people. Based on a report, she is against the day-off grant to the workers and as well as allowing them to keep their passports.
Sondos even raised a question on who will refund her money in case the helper would go home. She expressed that she does not anymore want Filipino helpers. Her statements did not sound well for many people including Emirati social media celebrity Khalid Al Ameri.
As per another report, Khalid Al Ameri stressed his belief that almost all jobs in the world offer a rest day to the workers. He also emphasized that workers are humans and not robots and they deserve a time to go out and enjoy life.
Sondos Alqattan’s controversial remarks did not only earn her criticisms from different people but several international brands also cut their ties with her.
Recently, a post containing the report that the Kuwaiti social media personality refuses to apologize for her statements on OFW rights crossed the social media. It was posted on the Facebook page For the Motherland – Sass Rogando Sasot.
Based on the post, Sondos Alqattan claimed that the criticisms are against her were an attack on her religion, Hijabis, and her country.
