IMEE MARCOS – The politician Imee Marcos has received various reactions from netizens over her video about “commonly mispronounced words in Ilocano”.
Imee Marcos is the eldest daughter of the late dictator and former President of the Philippines Ferdinand E. Marcos and former First Lady Imelda R. Marcos.
Her father has left a mark in the Philippine history due to his dictatorship.
She has been the Governor of Ilocos Norte since 2010.
And lately, a video of her has received mixed reactions from the people of the social media platform.
On the video of her is showing the “commonly mispronounced words in Ilocano”.
The words at such were: Poque Poque, Baliw, Kabat*ti, Pintas, Nakiki, Nap*kpe*k, Pokp*klo, P*k p*k, Nab*yag, Ut*ng, and An*s.
Some netizens have found her video entertaining and hilarious and some could not even believe that the politician did it.
The words in Tagalog were considered sensitive. But according to comments, those words were not really offensive if one is used to hearing and saying the Ilocano dialect.

So these are ilocano words pala. Pero seryoso? Ganyan na? Eto ung mapapa WTF ka na lang.
I think this has something to do with the ilocano dialect. Hindi ko lang magets sa clip kung ano yung purpose nya. May ilocano words kasi talaga na bastos ang meaning sa Tagalog. Like yung utong sa ilocano ay string beans. Ilokano kasi ako
kung sanay ka makarinig ng ilocano words, you won’t find it offensive. I think she was trying to put humor into it. I find it corny though.
