An abused Pinay Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Jeddah is now seeking help to go back to the Philippines.
Over the past few months, the reports regarding the maltreated Pinoy migrant workers in different countries all around the world had been the headlines of both local and international news outlets.
President Rodrigo Duterte even canceled the deployment of thousands of aspiring OFW’s in Kuwait due to the increasing numbers of maltreated Filipino workers abroad.
Recently, a Pinay migrant worker identified as Rebecca Naciluan was allegedly being maltreated by her employer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The 28-year-old OFW is a native of Davao City like President Duterte and had one child left in the country.
The Pinay maid revealed that they are being abused and maltreated by their employer. She was not also allowed to have a mobile phone making her life too difficult.
Rebecca also finds it difficult to ask for help since they were not allowed to own a cellphone.
However, Naciluan was able to send a letter to the social media containing all the contact details needed so she could immediately return to the Philippines.
