The Most Awaited Pacquiao-Matthysse Match Finally Set On July 15 In Malaysia

The much-anticipated Pacquiao-Matthysse match has been finally set on July 15, 2018, at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

The most awaited comeback of the Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao has been finally set against the Argentinian boxer Lucas Matthysse.

Pacman will fight in July in attempt to steal the WBA welterweight championship belt from Matthysse.

The 39-year-old Pinoy boxer has yielded the WBO title against the Australian Jeff Horn in Brisbane last July 2017 leading to a record of 59-7-2, 38 KO’s.

Meanwhile, Matthysse beats Tewa Kiram in the eighth round of HBO Boxing After Dark main event last January 2018 making him obtain a record of 39-4, 36 KO’s.

Golden Boy Promotions chief Oscar De La Hoya has also confirmed the Pacquiao-Matthysse fight after posting it on Twitter. He was also holding and managing Matthysse.

“Signed, sealed, and delivered: Proud to officially announce that WBA welterweight world champion @MatthysseLucas will put his title on the line against @mannypacquiao in Kuala Lumpur, Malyasia on Saturday night July 14 (US time).” Dela Hoya wrote on his post.
