Malacañang Declares Work & Class Suspensions On Wednesday (March 28)
The Malacañang Palace has declared the nationwide work and class suspensions on Holy Wednesday (March 28, 2018).
On Tuesday (March 27, 2018), the Palace announced the half-day work for the government employee on Holy Wednesday throughout the entire country.
Communications Assistant Secretary Marie Rafael Banaag has also declared the cancellation of class in state colleges and universities on Wednesday.
The half-day work on Holy Wednesday was declared to let the government employee prepare for Maundy Thursday (March 29) and Good Friday (March 30).
“Work in government offices including government-owned and—control corporations and local government units, and cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in all public schools, state universities and colleges, are hereby suspended on Wednesday, 28 March 2018 starting at 12.00 o’clock noon to enable government workers to prepare for the observance of Holy Thursday and Good Friday,” written on Memorandum Circular No. 23 quoted by Inquirer.
