The culture-based approach is about the collaboration of indigenous and local forms of art including local games, epics, crafts, dances, and songs.

Insilada said that those programs would help students to learn more and shared how his approach brings a positive change in his school.

“It is amazing how culture-based teaching is really keeping the children to stay in school. We have decreased our dropout rate from 5% to 1%. We even would like to make it 0% this school year,” Insilada said.
