LEILA ALCASID – The daughter of the veteran OPM singer and songwriter Ogie Alcasid, Leila Alcasid, confirmed now as contract artist under the Star Music.

Leila Alcasid is the eldest daughter of the veteran singer Ogie Alcasid and she seemingly wanted to follow the steps of her father as a musician.

Ogie Alcasid is definitely one of the famous in the particular field for his great contributions in the music industry.

According to a report from the Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (Push), it has always been a dream of the female singer to be just like her father.

She even expressed, “I’m so overwhelmed and excited to finally do something for myself and to show people what I have. Super excited, very blessed!”

It has been a long time since she accordingly prepared and it has been all worth it.

Her music, as per her description is very pop and very relaxed for she likes it light and bubbly with musical inspirations from Yuna, Lorde, and other pop icons.

She is also looking forward to having a collaboration with her father.

Leila stated, “Yes, I would love to. We’ve written few songs together before. Maybe something we’ll do in the future, but what I love with my dad (composition) like a ballad type and I will be honored to sing something of my dad’s work. Definitely a dream of mine.”

Meanwhile, Ogie, as a father and the manager of the new artist, has become emotional based on the source.

“Kino-control ko lang ang emotions ko! I remember, honey, I started when I was your age. Yeah! Parang nag full-circle. That’s how I feel,” Ogie indicated in teary eyes.

Her song “Completely In Love” will be officially released on February 23.
