The state weather bureau PAGASA announced that a low pressure area spotted near Agusan del Norte will bring rainshowers in these following areas.
On Thursday (January 25, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that a low-pressure area has been spotted about 95 kilometers of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
The low-pressure area was expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the following areas:
- Bicol region
- Eastern Visayas
- Quezon Province
- Romblon
- Northern Cebu
- Dinagat islands
- Surigao del Norte
The northeast monsoon would also bring cloudy skies with scattered rain over Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.
Cloudy skies with isolated rains would be also experienced over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon because of the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines will be partly cloudy with rainshowers because of the localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA also warned that sea ventures over northern Luzon, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao remains risky due to rough coastal water conditions. While the rest of the coastal water will be slight to moderate.
