Roque Says President Duterte To Relieve Another Official From Post Over Alleged Irregularities
Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said that President Rodrigo Duterte is about to dismiss another official from the position over alleged irregularities.
On Tuesday (January 02, 2018), Harry Roque said that President Duterte will fire another official another official, but did not fail the official’s identity.
Roque said that he will make the announcement tomorrow because the Malacañang Press Corps might give negative reactions regarding his statement.
“Mayroon na naman pong isa, pero bukas ko na po iaanunsyo iyan dahil baka magalit ang mga taga-Malacañang Press Corps,” Roque said quoted by ABS-CBN.
The presidential spokesperson is also set to face a press conference on Wednesday (January 03, 2018), for further details and information regarding the dismissal of the unidentified official.
The 51-year-old Filipino lawyer also hinted that the president might be looking into the controversial P6-million Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Christmas party.
The president has previously fired government officials including Interior Secretary Ismael Sueno, Dangerous Drugs Board chief Dionisio Santiago, Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor Terry Ridon, and PCUP Commissioner Melissa Avanceña Aradanas.
Melissa Avanceña Aradanas is the cousin of Duterte’s partner Honeylet Avanceña.
