PIA WURTZBACH – Beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach reacts to the recent drug-raid involving 11 supposedly gay men, one of whom was HIV positive and was exposed to the public.
According to some reports, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents have broken a sexual orgy and drug session at an upscale hotel in Bonifacio Global City on Sunday.
Among the arrested suspects are a doctor, engineer, and two models.
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said that the group has a plan of doing a PNP or “party and play” and ChemRom or “chemical romance,” terms used for mixing drugs to spike sexual satisfaction.
Pia is an advocate of LGBT rights has reacted unto it upon knowing that the authorities have reportedly revealed that one of the arrested suspects is an HIV positive.
In an Instagram post from the account of the beauty queen in the said widely used social media site is where she expressed, “PDEA and local news outlets decided to expose the identities of these men to the media. Their mugshots, names, and the HIV status of one of them were released. Was this really necessary?”
She accordingly understands that what those men are doing was illegal and should face legal consequences.
Pia pointed out that “there was absolutely no need to expose and publicly shame them” and also said that it is illegal to publicly announce one’s HIV status (RA8504).
What they did have just traumatized the men involved and worsened the HIV situation in the Philippines.
“We’re working so hard in educating the people properly on HIV/AIDS, on taking away the stigma. Because of what PDEA and the news outlet have done, some people are now associating drugs and immorality with being gay. It’s ridiculous,” Pia further wrote.
