Take A Look At The Proposed Modern Jeepneys That Will Replace Traditional Jeepneys

Here are the locally made modern jeepneys proposed to replace the traditional jeepneys as a part of the modernization program for public transportation.

Numerous transport groups and organizations have conducted a nationwide transport strike to show their opposition on the government’s proposed modernization of public transportation system in the Philippines.

However, the modernization program will introduce electronic jeepneys that will eliminate and replace all the traditional jeepneys in the country as the government wants to ensure the safety of the passengers.

Modern Jeepneys

Recently, the official Facebook page of “TV Patrol” has uploaded the video of the modern jeepneys that could possibly replace the traditional jeepneys.

LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra III said the designs of the modern jeepneys were up to the manufacturers, they were only setting standards and wanted to ensure the safety of the passengers.

The new jeepneys will not rely anymore on the gasoline, instead, it will be powered by electricity. The entrance of the vehicle now can be found on the side and the payment will be in terms of beep card.

Tataas un hanggang 20 or higit pa… Magiging wasteland eto..Philippines is not ready for this kind of thing yet.. Please think about it..

  3. It’s a big help in advancing the technology and for the nature, but you are not helping the driver to succeed but instead giving them a problem to pay those vehicles and leaving them to a rat race scenario…

Siguro naman 700,000 pesos is enough for an updated look of a jeepney.
