Kris Aquino Chosen As The Brand Ambassador Of iflix
The Filipino actress dubbed as Queen of all Media Kris Aquino was chosen as the brand ambassador of the internet TV service provider “iflix”.
On Thursday (July 27, 2017), Mark Britt, iflix Group co-founder and CEO of the company’s press conference in Taguig City has welcomed Kris Aquino to the iflix family as their new brand ambassador.
The internet TV service provider made the choice as a continuation of their tradition in teaming up both international and the most influential local icons in the showbiz industry. He also said that this decision would be a big help for their company’s growth and strategy.
“It is a tremendous honor to welcome Kris to the iflix family, as part of our continuing tradition of bringing together the most influential local and international icons of the entertainment industry to help drive our content strategy and growth,” said by Britt quoted by GMA.
Patrick Grove, iflix co-founder, and chairman described Kris Aquino as the Oprah of the Philippines. He also said that they’re looking for someone bold, brave, and eruptive, which really fits for the Queen of all Media.
Kris Aquino was very happy with the support given by iflix to the local talents of the Philippines. She also said iflix is one of the companies in the world that believes in the skills and talents of the Filipinos.
The 46-year-old actress revealed that her partnership with iflix was her longest courtship and she wanted to be the first to into digital. She also said that her first meeting with the company was in November 2016.
On June 12, 2017, the actress finally got her contract and saw the signature of Mark Britt and she was paid in dollars. Aquino announced that she will also make a movie together with iflix.
Aside from being a brand ambassador, Aquino will be also a key advisor on iflix, wherein she will assist the company’s projects in launching the iflix Original Productions.
