The fourth quarter survey results revealed that Duterte got a net trust rating of +72 which is equivalent to “excellent” rating
Majority of Filipinos have “much trust” on President Rodrigo Duterte, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
The survey results revealed that 81 percent of Filipinos have “much trust” on the 16th President of the Philippines, which gives him a net trust rating of +72, tha is about the +70 threshold that the survey firm uses to consider a rating “excellent”.
The poll was conducted last December 3 to 6 and involved 1,500 adult respondents nationwide.
Though he gained an “excellent” rating, the results yielded a slightly lower score for President Duterte, who received a +76 trust rating in September and +79 several days before he took his oath of office in noontime of June 30.
The fourth quarter survey found that Digong, Duterte’s popular nickname, had the most trust from respondents in Mindanao where he was given an “excellent” +85 score, yet a lot lower than the +92 that he got in September.
Meanwhile, he got a “very good” trust rating of +69 in “Balance Luzon” and in the Visayas.
Duterte also got the same score in Balance Luzon in September, but decreased four points from his previous score in the Visayas.
It was found that the trust rating from respondents in Metro Manila decreased by 11 points, +64 versus +76 in September.
According to the SWS classification, ratings of +50 to +69 are within the bracket of “very good”.
Previously, SWS released survey results revealing that 77 percent of the Filipino people were satisfied with the performance of President Duterte while there were 13 percent who wanted him to do more.
His +63 net satisfaction rating for the last quarter decreased by a point from his September +64 rating.
In that quarter, Duterte got the highest score in Mindanao with a +74 net rating but this recorded a big fall from his +85 score in his home region in the last three months.
He got a +59 in the National Capital Region (NCR), +60 in balance Luzon and +61 in Visayas.
But as President Duterte am(–foul word(s) removed–) outstanding scores in every survey, there is also a growing number of silent Filipinos who, under his administration, fear to be the next victim of extrajudicial killings.
SWS survey results showed that seventy-eight of Filipinos are fearful that they might be the next victim of extrajudicial killings (EJK) as the government-led battle against illegal drugs continues.
Since President Duterte took office on July 1, there have been more than two thousand people killed by police in anti-illegal drugs operations and another 3,171 deaths were attributed to men in mask, riding on motorcycles or vigilantes.
