The vigil was held a day after the sneaky burial of the remains of the late former dictator at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
The family, friends and followers of the late former dictator Ferdinand Edralin Marcos gathered at his tomb at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on Saturday, November 18, to old a vigil a day after his sneaky burial which launched various protests in the country.
Former First Lady and now Ilocos Congresswoman Imelda Marcos, who was dressed in black during the vigil, expressed their family’s gratitude to supporters and local officials who took time and effort to travel by bus from Ilocos Norte to pay their respect to their kababayan.
Imelda said that the supporters gave their family strength as they held on to their faith that one day, after about 30 years, the late dictator would be buried at the cemetery reserved for former presidents and servicemen.

During the vigil, Imelda said in front of the what seemed to be a garden of wreaths of white flowers grave, said: “I know Ferdinand will at last be at rest here at the Heroes’ Cemetery. But I know that we will still have a lot of criticisms to face”.
