Elderly Fil-Am Arrested At NAIA With A Box Of Bullets
A box of bullets was seized from a 79-year-old Filipino-American senior citizen at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
On Tuesday morning (November 08, 2016), at the NAIA, a Filipino-American passenger in transit was arrested for the possession of bullets. The elderly was arrested when a box that contains 36 bullets was found inside his bag concealing a box of imported .25 caliber ammunition.
The Fil-Am senior citizen was identified as Rondaris Rufino, 79 years’ old, a passenger of Philippine Airlines flight PR 103 from Los Angeles to Laoag, Ilocos Sur. The senior citizen was intercepted by the security screeners at NAIA Terminal 2.
According to Airport Security Screener Dominique Halog he saw a suspicious image on the monitor while the x-ray is going on. They look for the owner of the bag and found that Rufino was the owner, then the airport security confirmed that the bag contains a box of bullets.
