Pinoy Fishermen were finally able to fish in Scarborough Shoal.
Pinoy Fishermen once again can fish in the Scarborough Shoal without the interference from the Chinese vessels.
According to a report of Rappler, the Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella confirmed to the media that the Fishermen can now be able to fish in the area without being intercepted by the Chinese Coast Guard vessels.
Abella announced this information on Friday, October 2, during a Palace briefing.
A day after the announcement, several Pinoy fishermen reported that they can once again fish in the Scarborough Shoal without the interference from Chinese vessels.
Furthermore, the Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana Days said that after President Duterte’s China visit, the Chinese Coast Guard and Navy have left the vicinity of the shoal.
Filipinos have been barred by China from entering the disputed waters, but the development started days after the four-day state visit of the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte in China.
