Supreme Court Schedules Oral Arguments On FM’s Interment

The Supreme Court schedules a day for the oral arguments with regards to the interment of the late dictator at Libingan ng mga Bayani.

SUPREME COURT – After the numerous Martial Law victims and even government officials who expressed their opposition to the interment of the late dictator at Libingan ng mga Bayani, the Supreme Court decided to allot August 24 for the oral arguments on the matter.

The Ferdinand Marcos Sr. interment issue has not yet been put to rest. Oppositions have not yet surrendered the hope to block the late dictator’s interment at the resting ground for heroes and presidents.

Not only Martial Law victims, but even some government officials like Sens. Leila De Lima, Alan Peter Cayetano, and Risa Hontiveros have expressed that they are not in favor to the President’s decision to allow it.

In a previous report, the Palace leaves the matter to the Supreme Court and vowed to respect its decision as a 30-page petition was already filed at SC to block Marcos Sr.’s burial at LNMB.
