West Phil Sea Belongs To Ph: What’s next then?

Philippines won over China on the territorial dispute on West Philippine Sea.

West Phil Sea – The International Court has already released the report on the case of territorial dispute between China and the Philippines and the court sided on the tan-skinned race.

The dispute on the West Philippine Sea has been an international issue over the years as none of the two pursuing countries would give up on their claim. It was even triggered when Chinese coast guards and Filipino fishermen tend to clash on the said territories.

It went further until an arbitration case was filed and ended with the United Nation’s final verdict that the Philippines owns the rights over the sea and the Chinese’ claims on it is a violation to the said sovereign right of the country.

Several reactions were aired out in public and even in social media after the result was released last Tuesday, July 12. Most Filipinos were glad about it as the country ended up victorious in the long battle.

Unfortunately, still there are those who were anxious on what is going to happen next recognizing the forces of China which is an undeniable fact.

One fisherman in Cato Village, Joseph Daroca, is one of those who rejoiced after hearing that the UN sided on the Philippines and Scarborough Shoal is a Philippine territory.

After the Chinese coast guards drove him away last January while he was fishing, the 44-year-old fisherman has stopped fishing that is why he really considered the result a good news.

On the contrary, a fishing boat operator, Jowe Legaspi, posted a question on what is going to happen next after Philippines won over the territorial dispute and what if the Chinese will not leave the island.

Also a village council member, Jowe is one of the 16 Infanta fisherman who seek refuge from the United Nation.

What do you think will happen next?
