Bishop Bacani to El Shaddai Members: “Don’t vote for Duterte.
Bishop Bacani urges its people not to vote for Davao City Mayor and Presidential candidate Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte this coming May 9 presidential election. Retired Novaliches Bishop Teodoro Bacani said during an in an interview last Wednesday, “I said openly to the El Shaddai people don’t vote for Duterte.”
Retired Bishop Bacani discouraged members of El Shaddai to vote for Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for president, he also said, “You can judge the act. What you cannot judge is the inner conscience of a person but the attitude, my goodness! I cannot imagine a Filipino president speaking like that.”
Retired Bishop Bacani, as the spiritual adviser of the charismatic group El Shaddai, cited the very first time when Duterte cursed the Pope after he was trapped in a traffic in Manila during the papal visit last January 2015.
And now Duterte caused a lot of negative feedbacks and angered people from different groups for cracking a joke about the Australian Missionary that was been rap3d and murd3red during a hostage-taking happened in Davao City Jail in 1989.
When asked about the response of the members of El Shaddai not to vote for presidential electoral candidate Mayor Duterte, Bacani said that they were in complete agreement.
But Bacani clarified that he has not able to talk to the entire members of the group yet. He also stressed that he doesn’t have an idea to who will be the presidential candidate that they will be endorsing, lead my Bro. Mike Velarde for this coming election.
Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo also finds Duterte’s idea of solving drugs and criminality if elected president as very worrisome.
