Controversial beauty pageant contestant Roxanne Cabanero attended the preliminary investigation of charges she filed against the actor-host at Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday, March 13, 2014.
During the probe, Roxanne Cabanero reiterated that Vhong Navarro held an attempt on her on the night of April 2010. The 24-year-old former Binibining Pilipinas candidate went emotional during the hearing.
Vhong Navarro was represented by his legal counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga during the preliminary investigation. Roxanne Cabanero was accompanied by her lawyer, Atty. Virgilio Batalla.
Atty. Alma Mallongga submitted Vhong Navarro’s counter affidavit during the hearing which include the sworn statements of his colleagues who testified that the actor-comedian was in a concert at the Island Cove Resort in Cavite on the night of April 24, 2010.
During the investigation, Roxanne Cabanero’s camp stressed that Vhong Navarro allegedly held an attempt on her client “During the time of April 24, 25, 26, and 27,” Atty. Batalla said in an interview.
On the other hand, Vhong Navarro earlier filed perjury and libel cases against his newest complainant, Roxanne Cabanero. Besides, he also filed additional the cases against his mauling suspects Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee.
Vhong Navarro who made a blockbuster return on It’s Showtime and continued as one of the hosts vowed that he will fight until the end in pursuit for justice.
