Ara Arida Miss Universe 2013 Third Runner-Up Winner

Ariella Arida of the Philippines made it to the Final 5 of the Miss Universe 2013 competition but she was able to capture the Third Runner-up title after Miss Venezuela’s Gabriela Isler was declared the Miss Universe 2013 winner.

For the fourth straight successive years, the Philippines representative to the Miss Universe beauty pageant always made it to the Final 5 of the world’s most prestigious competition.

The 24-year-old Ara Arida followed the success of Miss Universe 2012 First Runner-up Janine Tugonon, Miss Universe 2011 3rd Runner-up Shamcey Supsup and Miss Universe 2010 4th Runner-up Venus Raj.

The last time that the Philippines won the competition was way back the year 1972 through Margie Moran, while the first time that the Philippines captured the Miss Universe title was during the 1969 conquest of Gloria Diaz.
