Miss Ariella Arida of the Philippines was chosen as one of the five Miss Universe candidates to participate in a photo shoot for an event of the world-renowned luxury car brand Mercedez-Benz.

The 24-year-old Miss Universe delegates will join fellow candidates from Puerto Rico, Poland, Spain and Russia for the shoot of Mercedez-Benz commercial. Mercedez-Benz is one of the major sponsors in the prestigious international beauty pageant.
Ara Arida added further that aside from her inclusion in the elite list of models for Mercedez-Benz, she was also fortunate to have been interviewed by Fashion Channel in Russia and another by Fashion TV.” Ariella was quoted as saying that, “I was likewise fortunate to have been interviewed by the Fashion Channel in Russia and another by Fashion TV,” Arida was quoted as saying in the statement released Monday.
The Miss Philippines representatives to the 62nd Miss Universe in Russia was also included in the list of 26 models who participated during the Mercedez-Benz fashion week showcasing the creations of world-famous Lebanese designer Tony Ward.
Ara Arida also revealed that during the Tony Ward Couture Fashion Show she was able to meet in person the reigning Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo of the United States of America. The Philippine bet is hoping to surp(–foul word(s) removed–) the successes of her last three predecessors in Miss Universe – Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup, and Janine Tugonon – who all finished in the Top 5 of Miss Universe.
