North Korean Missile Launch Endangered Philippines

The hermit kingdom of North Korea have launched a long-range rocket on Wednesday, December 11 according to the latest updates from AFP citing a South Korean defence ministry spokesman.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the rocket had taken off from Sohae satellite launch centre at 9:51 am (0051 GMT). There is no immediate reports on the success of the launch, but the Japanese government have confirmed that the missile had p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed its southern island chain of Okinawa around 12 minutes after take-off.

The three-stage rocket’s first stage have separated as scheduled and splashed down in the sea off South Korea’s southwest coast. Japan also reported that the third stage of the rocket fell 300 km east of Luzon as of 9:05 AM (PST).

The Philippines on their part have no facility and technology to track the trajectory of the rocket therefore they asked the South Korean for guidance.

According to Benito Ramos of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), Filipinos should be careful with the danger of the North Korean missile. A warning was already issued by the Philippine government.
