Man ‘Steals’ Mobile Phone Inside Church
A man was spotted in the CCTV footage praying first before he “stole” a cellphone inside a church in Batangas.
No place is totally free from crimes and ill activities — even churches. There were several incidents in the past when certain undesirable activities like stealing occurred in the very place that is meant to be a place for worship.

The church is considered as the very heart of faith and community. It is meant to be a place for peace, trust, and reverence. When activities like stealing happen within its walls, it does not only take away material possessions but also undermines the spiritual bond that gathers the people to Church.
In the past, there were recorded incidents of stealing in several church. The usual targets include offerings, sacred items, and donations. In some cases, they are personal belongings of other church-goers.

In Batangas, a CCTV footage has recently captured an act of stealing inside a church. Based on a report on News5, the man was initially set to exit the church when he moved leftward and prayed before he got the cellphone that was in the chair.
Based on the report, the uploader of the CCTV footage claimed that the said mobile phone taken by the man belongs to him. Before he grabbed it from the chair, he even made the Sign of the Cross.


The man even made a kneel attempt as he seemingly looked at the altar. After taking the cellphone, he immediately exited the church in Batangas.
Based on the report, the owner of the mobile phone tried to call and locate the gadget but he failed to find his phone. Meanwhile, the incident has already been reported to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
