David Ferrer stuns Novak Djokovic

ATP World Tour Finals David Ferrer found his spot in the semifinals after defeating world number one Novak Djokovic in straight sets at London O2 Arena Wednesday.

Ferrer started the tournament with a triumphant victory over the fourth seed Andy Murray  and the world number five pursue up that win with a 6-3 6-1 conquest.

Djokovic is suffering from a back and shoulder injuries in this earlier week, but didn’t complain anything from his defeat against Ferrer.

The 24 year old Serb said to the reporters “I have no words to explain it. It was the most terrible match I played the whole year, but he gave credit to David Ferrer and said “Ferrer played very well”.

Ferrer also think that his opponent is tired and he played constantly and did not commit any mistake.

Ferrer said “it is important for me to play well here. Last year he did not win, but this time he won twice for the second time around, and he was very happy with that.”

The first player to qualify to Group A is David Ferrer, his recent opponent Djokovic  could still continue his journey in the tournament is he beats his fellow citizen Janko Tipservic in his remaining bout on Friday.

Tipservic the replacement for the injured Murray, sad to say that he was forced to leave the tournament on Tuesday beaten 2-6 6-3 7-6 compliments of Tomas Berdych in the earlier group match.

Berdych will need to defeat Ferrer in his final tie to qualify and hopping that Djokovic will be defeated by Tipservic.
