Floyd Mayweather Failed to Appear in the Court

American boxer Floyd Mayweather failed to appear in the hearing of the defamation lawsuit filed against him by Boxing Champ and pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.

According to attorney Daniel Petrocelli, Manny Pacquiao’s lawyer, Floyd did not come to the hearing session in which he is supposed to give his sworn testimony.

The case is now under federal Magitrate Judge Robertson Johnston and was the one who ruled out the order for Floyd Mayweather to appear in the said hearing.

However, Floyd attorney has released a statement defending the American boxer saying that Mayweather has an upcoming fight against Victor Ortiz on September 17 therefore the boxer needs to concentrate in his training.

The lawsuit was filed by Manny Pacquiao after Floyd Mayweather and his team together with his promoter Oscar Dela Hoya have accused Manny Pacquiao using performance enhancing drugs during his fights.

Pacquiao has claimed that actions being done by Mayweather and his team clearly showed their intention of destroying Pacquiao’s reputation as a boxer.

On the other hand, Oscar de la Hoya and chief of Golden Boy promotions Richard Schaefer has already settled out the lawsuit filed against them by Manny Pacquiao and asked for apology regarding their action and cleared out that they do not have any proof that Pacquiao is using a performance enhancing drugs.

Manny Pacquaio has already proven to the public that he is not taking any drugs after he conducted several test and the result was negative.
