Rainy weekend is expected to strike in the country according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration or PAGASA as the new typhoon “Egay” continue to move towards northwest of the county.
According to Undersecretary of Science and Technology Graciano Yumul, Typhoon “Egay” will bring heavy rains particularly in Luzon area as its diameter reaches to 350km.
He also gave warning to people living in Cagayan as the center of the typhoon is expected to strike directly in that location.
Areas which are declared affected by the typhoon according to PAGASA include Bataan, Zambales, National Capital Region, Calabarzon, Palawan and Mindoro.
On the other hand, while Typhoon “Egay” is expected by PAGASA to exit in the country on Tuesday, another low pressure is being monitored by PAGASA as it is being predicted to be a typhoon if it continue to intensify and will enter the country on Wednesday.
In the latest update of PAGASA, Signal number 1 is raised in places of Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Albay, Camarines Norte and Sur, Cagayan, Aurora and the northern part of Samar.
People living in affected area are now being warned by PAGASA of possible landslides and flash flood especially the eastern side of the Philippines where the Typhoon will surely bring heavy rains.
