She had taken the spot owned by Oprah Winfrey before making her as one of the world’s powerful celebrity figure.
The basis of the the Forbes annual “The Celebrity 100” 2011 to measure who will be part of the prestigious list are entertainment related earnings, media visibility and social media popularity.
Lady Gaga whose real name is Stefani Germanotta is really at the pick off her industry. The American Singer-Song Writer had an estimated earnings of $90 million in just 12 months. Aside from that she had 32 million followers on Facebook and a record holder for the first celebrity to have over 10 million followers on Twitter. She even surp(–foul word(s) removed–)ed Obama for that.
Lady Gaga, according to Forbes is an example of how celebrities should manage their career in the future. She had already proven her social media power beating Oprah this year. With the use of Twitter and Facebook, Lady Gaga was able to work the “little monsters” into a grossing record sales and media attention.
Next to Lady Gaga in the Forbes list is Oprah Winfrey who will be ending next week “The Oprah Winfrey show”, and she had an estimated earnings of $290 million from the 25 years of the TV chat show.
Justin Beiber also make it to the list, and obviously he the youngest at the age of 17, he had an earning o $53 million from concerts and sales from his concert movie and “Never Say Never” documentary.
U2 is at No.4 with $195 million together with Elton John with $100 million.
Forbes said its earnings figures consist of pretax income between May 1, 2010, and May 1, 2011
Rounding out the top ten for 2011 was golfer Tiger Woods, earning $75 million, country singer Taylor Swift, rock band Bon Jovi, British music producer and “The X Factor” judge Simon Cowell and U.S. basketball player LeBron James.
